Door steward bosses want licence fee plan thrown out
Mark Hamilton, managing director of Edinburgh-based security firm Rock Steady, has hit out against the high cost of the licence fee. He said: "That's a big shout for part-time workers. "My own company, along with 14 others who all met in Glasgow the other day, are asking to delay the increase, giving people time to raise the cash - considering it takes another £300 to train people. Fifteen thousand people are working in the industry in Scotland." Granton-based Clockwork Security employs between 20 and 25 guards who will be faced with the hefty fees. Manager Gavin Deauville said: "Security is not a very highly paid job. Most of the people working in the security industry make between minimum wage and £6.50 per hour so it's not a high-paying job. "Having to pay this fee is difficult for them, but they don't have much choice, especially if they have been doing security for a number of years, as they might find it .
Puffy Diddy Bops Down The Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Rapper, producer and hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs will take his celebrity to the next level when he is honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in January. Diddy broke the news recently while calling in to "The Foxxhole," Jamie Foxx's show on Sirius radio. "I'm from Harlem, New York, so to get a star in Hollywood is just mind-blowing," Diddy said. "You can get a lot of things, but when you see those stars on the ground ... that's something I can't even say I dreamed of and to be getting recognized for it is definitely something I'm gonna have my whole family out there for." Diddy is famous for hustling his way from an Uptown Records intern to Bad Boy Records founder and chief architect behind the careers of such stars as Notorious B.I.G., The Lox and Mary J.
Blair switch project
But Saunders allows Blair simply to reveal himself, convinced that while an overtly aggressive interview technique may have been more satisfying for some, it was unlikely to yield any more information. He was right. This film gets to the heart of why Blair acted as he did in a way that no belligerent journalistic confrontation could have done. At times almost campily verbose, Blair gives the impression of a man who receives other-worldly premonitions about divine intervention. It is wonderful psycho-drama as Blair uses his full catalogue of performing tricks to affirm his righteousness, revealing just why he was once the most adroit of political performers. However, his foremost impressionist, British comedian Rory Bremner, suggested recently that in his last months in power the prime minister had come to resemble the man you find in your kitchen at two in the morning when all the other guests have left.
Ads are on the menu at area restaurants
The left side of the screen is a rotating advertisement, community calendar or other sign. The right side includes a television feed and local weather information. Ads and other messages scroll on a 15-minute loop. Myers said usually two-thirds of that time is advertising and one-third is community events. All of the screens are linked via the Internet and controlled by Neoti servers. Each screen location also has its own controls that allow for easy ad changes and updates. .
