| Gay pirates hit Filipino filmmaker
As though there isn't enough gay sex running rampant over the internet, Filipino filmmaker Jowell Morel now finds himself and his film "Paru-Parong Rosas" a victim of internet piracy.
Although "Paru-Parong Rosas" is not porn--it is a drama on bisexual relationships--an illegally acquired video file of the film has been the target of fierce downloading.
Morel only found out recently about the illegal downloads of his film from a friend.
“Tumawag sa akin ang friend ko at sinabi sa akin na na-da-download ang pelikula ko nang libre. My God! Paano nangyari ‘yon samantalang hindi namang naka-post ang pelikula ko sa internet dahil nga pinoprotektahan ko at ng distributor ko," Jowee said in dismay.

Sunflower Market stores going out of business
Sunflower Market will close its doors in central Ohio and elsewhere, its parent company said today. The natural-foods grocery has three locations locally: at the South Campus Gateway near Ohio State University, on Bethel Road and in Dublin. Sunflower has two other locations, in Indianapolis and Chicago, said Haley Meyer, a spokeswoman for SuperValu, the parent company. The closings will be effective the week of Feb. 18. The stores did not meet the company's goals, Meyer said. “Sunflower Market provided a tremendous laboratory" for the company to learn about the natural and whole foods markets, Meyer said. .

The average age of the group was well over 60, and there were literally hundreds of years of experience assembled in the desert. Fig tree move will require strength, diligence
Begin the work to dig the entire fig tree as soon as the soil is thawed enough to dig. You will want to remove the undisturbed root and soil mass that the fig tree’s trunk is currently growing from. The trunk will probably be in the middle of the soil that surrounds the tree, unless the fig is growing near some impervious surface on 1 side, such as a patio. Removing the fig’s root mass will involve the same procedure used when digging any root ball for moving. Start just outside the fig’s branch drip line, and dig a wide and deep doughnut-shaped hole all around the root mass, going down at least 24 inches deep, digging more or less deep based on the actual soil type encountered. Note that the side of the doughnut shape close to the fig’s root mass should be just a little past the drip line as digging is progressing.

Two Wicked events have been scheduled for the week leading up to the annual Wicked Day Block Party on Oct. 28. On Oct. 23 cast members from the hit Stephen Schwartz musical will join the creators of the hand-crafted Madame Alexander Elphaba and Glinda dolls at FAO Schwarz for a special signing and performance. The premiere of the new collectible dolls is scheduled for 4:30 PM. The famed toy store is located in Manhattan at 765 Fifth Avenue at 58th Street. A meet, greet and autograph signing with members of the current cast of Broadway's Wicked will be held Oct. 25 at the NBC Experience Store in Rockefeller Center. The morning event is scheduled to begin at 11 AM. As previously announced, the annual Wicked Day Block Party will be held Oct. 28 at The Friendship Garden, which is located on West 150th Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Harlem.
